HMI software compatibility

Andy312 Experienced Member Joined: 9/16/2008 Last visit: 11/8/2023 Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	Dear experts, I was told to buy a new Field PG and I was thinking to buy a version which includes :WinCC Advanced Combo(v12,WinCC Flexible 2008) ,besides Step7 package. Now, one of our vendors is using WinCC Explorer to program/config his SCADA systems and I was wondering if I can open his software developed in WinCC Explorer with my WinCC Advanced v12. I tried to find out using the compatibility tool provided by Siemens for us,but I admit that I didn't know how to interpret the results(see attach). Thanks in advance! It is not for the migration solution for the software. Check this out Link1 Check these TIA documents for the Possible solution.Link2 Hope this help.

Once again, Thanks! Hi Yeah ur correct, U would have to migrate the WinCC classic to WINCC TIA. But be carefull that the Archieves and the User defined Faceplates will have some restrictions. Do post your result after migration.
