Hello everybody,

Is it possible to sort the tag selection on Name or Address?

It is possible in WinCC Flexible 2008.

Doesn't it sort when you click on the column name (for example click on 'Name') ? 

Another option if you want to have your tags separated is to drag & drop them to a table that you can create by right-click on HMI tags - Add new tag table(or if you want to have different folders with different groups first create a folder by choosing add group).

 In WinCC Flex it will as in every other windows program...

But with Tia Portal it's not possible. 

I tried it before posting :s ... with which version are you working

I tried this with version 13 SP1 Update 9.

V13 SP1 Update 9 and V14

Siemens support netherlands say it is not possible...

It is possible in HMI tags or the Symbol table, but not when you select a tag from the screen editor(see screenshot in first post)

In tag table only you need to sort either name wise or address wise ,so same can be used while tag browsing.

If you know the name of tag then while browsing tag ,search ioption is very  useful to find eaxct tag from tag table.

I really can't sort when i choose a tag?? Please show me with a screenshot if it should be possible. Just to be sure, i want to connect to a input on a PLC(for example). Without the extra step to make first a HMI tag. 

The search option can be very usefull, but it is not possible to search for absolute address(for example I3.5) only for symbolic names.

See the attached snap shot, You cant sort while browsing but need to be change way of browsing while assigning PLC tag in HMI.

If you see the screen shot then you can click on name or details then it will sort.
