HMI time sync

I have TP1200 paired with the S7-400H station and wanted to sync the time on my panel with the PLC clock. I found examples where you can set that in TIA Portal (where is my project for TP1200), under "Connections"/drop-down menu "HMI time sync mode". My problem is that I can not select anything from there, the menu is greyed out. How can I solve this? Thank you very much in advance. The picture is attached. Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 4/17/2025 Posts: 15311 Rating: (1893)	Hello the HMI time synchronization mode is only available with S71200/1500 PLCs (here is used a SIMATIC fucntion for time synchronisation similar than NTP) In case of a S7400 you cannot use it. Here you should use the solution with Area Pointer "Date/Time PLC" (if the HMI is slave). The solution is exaplained in the mentioned FAQ Bye Murof
