Hot Backup with new Y-Link

ThaiScorpio Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi Everyone, Ihave configuredthe CPU417-4H V2.1 with new Y-Link module (6ES7153-2BA81-0XB0) and Y-Coupler (6ES7197-1LB00-0XA0) to use with VSD and Compact remote I/O from Rockwell (the GSD file are corrected as I tested them already with single S7-300 CPU and DP bus). In the HW configuration, there were no error at all but after dowloaded it to the CPU, I couldn't see or communicate with those DP slave at all. So, I make another test by replacing the new Y-Link module with the older version (DP Coupler: 6ES7157-0AA81-0XA0), it was working properly!!! Does anyone knows ortell me why and what could be a reason? By the way, I am using STEP7 V5.4, and the CPU417-4H was installed since year 2002. In advance, thank you very much for your help.

Hi Experts, I don't know is this neccessary or not, but do I need to upgrade the Firmware of CPU417-4H (V2.1) to be a latest version to compatible with the new Y-Link module?
