Dear Mubasshir, Yes you can make redundancy using some of S7-300 CPUs. We are talking here about software redundancy. Siemens offers software redundancy and Hardware reundancy too. Hi multimeter, As what I know of there are 2 types of redundancy used. One is software redundancy and the other is hardware redundancy [Hot-standby]. Hardware redundancy is for S7-400 and can use together with Y-link [see brochure posted by Ayman Elotaify] Software redundancy can be for S7-400/S7-300. Although the manual of SWR never mention about can or cannotuse Y-link but from my experience cannot [see this link] I am very interested on what you have seen using Y-link in S7-300 with software redundancy!! Is itpossiblethat you can take some pictures for me? and also send me the hardware configuration? I will be very appreciate and grateful!! with regards, how come? |
