How can communicate all devices together with wincc software?

paresh_ramdya Experienced Member Joined: 9/20/2017 Last visit: 2/25/2025 Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	I am using simatic wincc (TIA Portal v15) to monitor the data to be received from total 54# slave devices via Modbus RTU Protocol. I have used total 4# gateway module (i.e. Schneider EGX300) to convert the data from Modbus RTU to TCP/IP. All 54# slaves are transmitting data via Modbus RTU in daisy chain on all 4 gateway module. My problem is that, i need to create total 54# connections if i consider the 1 connection for each slave. and TIA Portal is allow maximum 8 or 16 connection. now problem is how can i communicate all that devices together with my wincc software. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Limitation in number of connections in WinCC.

In your gateways, there should be a "translation table" or something like that to map the incoming tags to outgoings. Am I understanding correctly your setup?
