I have a simmiliar error in Diagnostic Buffer.

I'm working on profibus between 2 plc.

In attachment is my simatic project and diagnose from diagnostic buffer.

I have error with SFB20. I read this instructionson 415 page but I can't understand how to fix my problem.

Let's go to the start.

What PLC (6ES7--------) you have there?
Is there anything connected to the Bus ?
If yes, it's that another CPU or what?
Clear diagnostics and when CPU stops read diagnostics before trying to start CPU with or without PG.

Last thing, you can attach your program for us to evaluate.

Hello Gujaa;

Sorry to say I do not have access to Step 7 v5.5 anymore, so I cannot open your project archive.

And your diagnostic buffer upload is not very helpful, especially if there is no SFB 20 in the CPU's program. Basically this message means thT THE CPU had to go to STOP, but no reason be found that was loggable to the diagnostic buffer. BF active means there is a faulty configuration of the network partners.

If I were you I would start over my Profibus configuration in  new projct, based on the sample program, and follow it step-by-step (start by placing both CPUs in the same project, than proceed to configure the slave, then the master, save  and test the project. Do not attemp to modify it in any way until you understand how it organizes the data exchanges between the 2 CPUs.

In your project I can´t find any SFB 20, not in the Master-PLC nor the Slave-PLC.

So If you are confused about diagnostic buffer entry no. 5, I guess it was a STOP caused by PG stop:

diagnostic buffer

Event 5 of 10:  Event ID 16# 4304
STOP caused by PG stop operation or by SFB 20 "STOP"
Previous operating mode: RUN
Requested operating mode: STOP (internal)
Incoming event
12:39:20.718 AM  01/26/1994
(Coding: 16# 4304  FF84  0000  0000  0000  0000)

Other cpu which I use like slave in profibus is not in stop mode. SF and BF led are off. On first plc (master) SF is on and BF1 is blinking. But when I watch in online mode both are in stop mode like on picture in attachment.

My error means that I don't have SFB20 block?
So how I need to insert it? I tried write this in OB1:

CALL "STOP" , DB20

But it's red and I got message about error:

"Type conflict for STOP"

It's all on my screenshot attachment.

Can you explane me step by step how I need to insert SFB20?

And can you tell me what is PG?

PG is shorthand for Programming unit, either a PC loaded with a version of Step 7, or a specialized computer prepare, configured and sold by Siemens.

Simatic-->Options-->Set PG/PC Interface->Intel(R)82579LM Gigabit Network Connection.TCPIP.1 <Active>

I didn't insert SFB20 block but in diagnostic buffer I have message about it:

STOP caused by PG stop operation or by SFB 20 "STOP"

Does it mean that I have mistake in HW config and I don't need to insert SFB20 in this profibus?
