how can i config redundant 2 x im 153-2 redundant in single rack?

Ahmed Ganainy Experienced Member Joined: 8/22/2009 Last visit: 11/25/2024 Posts: 42 Rating: (1)	how can i configure the 2 X im153-2 redundant in hw config software Do bm im/im need any hardware config??? i already buy the im/im, im153-2 and redundancy software the problem that face me is the example come with the software use im 153-3 not 2x im 153-2 please i'm facing a problem now in the site and i can't find any one who can help me. thanks in advance

ARE THERE ANY THING WRONG I DID . IF THERE SOMETHING WRONG PLEASE HELP ME PRINT SCREEN PHOTO IS PREFFERED MY SYSTEM ALREADY RUN WITHOUT REDUNDANCY CONFIGURATION . I FINISH THE CONFIGURATION OFFLINE NOW BUT I HAVE NO TIME TO MAKE TRIES . I CAN ONLY STOP THE SYSTEM FOR 30 MINITES. Still, this part number (6ES7 153-2BA00-0XB0)had entered cancellation phase 3 years ago. So, please make sure you have this part number because if you ordered your IM couple of years ago you would have got 6ES7 153-2BA01-0XB0 and if you ordered your IM in 2008 you would have got 6ES7 153-2BA02-0XB0. It is always better to have hardware in your office/lab to make enough measures and tests. You need to test switching over of CPUs, IMs, HMIand data transfer time between the 2 CPUs. Imho 30 mins is a tight time for this. Software redundancy is not an easy solution and it hardly runs from the first shot. I think more members can offer more help if you upload your hardware configuration to check if it's proper for software redundancy or not.your configuration islittle vague in the picture. Moreover, we can check software redundancy parameters if you upload your software. This is just to make sure that it should run trouble free in site. Best regards. H-H

But when I open sample project in NetPro I see one Icon for ET200M (IM153-3)(6ES7 153-3AA00-0XB0) for two profibus Network.(PROFIBUS_CONNECTION_A, and PROFIBUS_CONNECTION_B) But When I myself Insert the Im153-3 module in Hwconfig for two station, at this time I see two Icon for IM153-3, why this happen I attached the project.
