How can I configure a Server-Client redundancy system with 2 server have different interface setting

Dat Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi All, I am just a newbieof "WinCC community".Could anybody give me a help on my issue? - Currently, the system is running Multi-Client project + 01 WinCC Server (say.."old server") Win2K3, Simatic Net interface:CP1613 card + Client #1 (say.."Fat Client") Win2K3 + Client #2 Win2K3 acting as a Web Publishing Server for itself 4 "Thin Clients" - I setup a new WinCC Server (Win2K3)which has the same project except Simatic Net interface is the "Softnet" using built in Fast Ethernet port. This new Server was tested running well in place of the "old server". - Is it possible to combine "new server" & "old server" into one redundancy system with that configuration? And how to do it? Your advices would be highly appreciated!

Yai Posts: 62 Rating: (2)	Hi Dat, There is no difference in engineering configuration in WinCC between using CP1613 and on-board Lan card. The thing I would say is only, if you use CP1613, it can guarantee that WinCC can coummunicate by amount of tags eg: 64k without any problem. In the same time, general Lan card cannot be guaranteed. But still got problem with the Web Server, it seem to be overloadafter the years with many tags & graphic pages added. I'm planning to use WinCC Server (higher performance than Web Server) to share Thin Clients Web plublishing task (ex:2 Thin Clients set connection to WinCC server, the rest ones belong to Web Server). Any risks may have? Best regards, Dat
