? how can I download Hardware Catalog for the Drives I need in S7-300?

Hi Experts,

how can I download Hardware Catalog for the Drives I need in S7-300?

For example:

 I wanna add Sinamics G120 with CU240E-2DP to a project with S7-300 PLC?

 I know I can go to Hardware and add CPU, Inputs, Outputs and so on ...

 But my question is about adding a DRIVE that is not on the Hardware Catalog.

Lets suppose that my Hardware catalog is the latest download from Siemens Web Site and I don't see the drive (or anything else that missing from the list) I need!!!!

Thanks if somebody can answer it without asking if I use Starter or Drive Monitor or Simotion or ...

This is about adding a drive to Hardware of a PLC project with CPU300.

At the moment I have a problem with S7-CPU300 that I can not find CU240E-2DP on its Hardware Catalog while I can see just a few old units even when my Hardware Catalog is from 2016 and the actual drive unit I have is at least from 2013!!!

Maybe, when we buy a new part is not bad to have the drives for different application are needed to be on the Disk comes with the Drive or units!!!!

Hello,

there are 2 ways to install the drives:

1.) GSD/GSDML File, with this you can insert the drives to configure the Communication.

2,) install STARTER, then the drives also integrated in the HWCatalog and you can commissioning this drives.

Thanks for the reply, I can not install Starter on our Field PG (I was told, works with Drive Monitor) and I don't know where to download the file for CU240E-2DP to be added to S7-300 CPU?

I attached a picture of downloaded files for the CU240E-2DP and I can see them on hardware catalog but it is not what I needed.

I need the drive with Message Frame and them are with Telegram.

I tried Starter on Field PG M4 and see the result.

On Field PG M3 says: because of Simotion

and on Field PG M2 says: something else for error

And "Message Frame" is the same like "TELEGRAM" !

install starter and configure the drive correctly.

is not really clear what you have installed and what are you configuring exactly.

No screens or messages which can help to understand which problem you have or something like that.

I am going to delete Microwin and install Starter
