Hi, Just as I said, Using the system infro channel will provide you with the information you need in the right format. You only have to look at the regiional settings and the settings you make in the tag setup. The problem was/is showing the Wincc Analog/Digital clocl control in a 24 hour format. with regards, Ikkezelf |

Hi, Oh, I got it... Here's what I found: under Computer -> Parameters you can see the "Language Setting at Runtime" and "Default Language at Runtime" parameters. By default, mine are set for English (US). So when I changed the Windows configurations for English (US), and set it as my Windows language, my controls automatically assumed this configuration... What I did was: access Control Panel -> Regional Settings, select "English (US)", and the button which is something like "Personalize" (don't remember the correct name for this button in English). There you can reach the tab "Time" and change the settings... click on "Apply" and you can see the control assuming the new settings... I think there must be another way to do this, and I tried some, like switching the LocaleID for the object, but that didn't work... Best regards, Danielle |

Weird... I tested it here and it worked just fine... Project's "Language Setting" and "Default Language" both at English (US), Central time and date formatting set to "Configure individual components". Windows regional options is set to English (US), and within English (US) I've set the time format fo HH:mm:ss... (HH = 24-hour format, while hh = 12-hour format). I've attached a file with my settings, but my windows is in Portuguese... Best regards, Danielle AttachmentRegional Options.pdf (748 Downloads) |

Hi Danielle, I tested it and it seems their is a little bug in the control. When I set everything the same as your settings it works perfect. But there I have a project in the UK and set the regional settings to english (UK). With the UK setting I have the 24 hour time format in my windows task bar, but not in the wincc date/time control. That control still displays everything in AM/PM. Any solution for this? Or shall I just report it? with regards, Ikkezelf |

Hi Ikkezelf, I remembered reading some posts about English (UK) X English (US), so I searched the forum and here it is: this one, and also this one are from Salma, stating that date/time setting will only work properly under English (US). It concerns date, but she has problems exactly when she uses English (UK). Seems like these controls will only work right under En (US)... and if you need 24-hour with other language you'll need to create your own display... Best regards, Danielle |

That's in the end what I did. Thanks for finding and posting the links. At least others can use this (again) when they bump into problems |

We have our own displays here too, so I hadn't ever tried doing that before... Like you say - it's never too late to learn something new! Maybe in the future WinCc will "get along" better with other languages.... |

Hi, You could use an I/O Field or static text and use a script to format your clock... This way you'd get it in any format you want! Best regards, Danielle |

Well, If you will use a script, you can use these scripts. 'VBScode 'usethiscodeinthepropertyoutputofI/OField FunctionOutputValue_Trigger(ByValItem) item.OutputValue=FormatDateTime(Now(),vbShortDateAndvbShortTime) EndFunction //Ccode time(&long_time); sprintf |

I was done. It was" 02:24:18 PM " than changed to "14:24:18"...Go to the region setting. No matter what language. English (U.S.) language settings, hh:mm:ss to change HH:mm:ss |

New question published by PMVisser is split to a separate thread with the subject Where can find the "region setting"?. Best regards |
