I suppose that you want to acheive counter that increments itself every second. Maybe the easiest way is to include clock memory byte in CPU's properties. There are eight bits flashing at different frequencies. Use 1Hz bit and increment counter on every rising or failing edge. The second way is to use the fact that OB35 is being called every 100ms. Put an routine on the beginning of OB35 and, ofcourse, every 10th call is one whole second. You can also call READ_CLK in OB1 and use it's output to count seconds. One can certainly claim that theese solutions are not as elegant as they should be in one serious S7 program. It is my opinion that it is best to use SFCs TON and TOFF in series to implement such a task. Implementation depends on your programming imagination :-) Hope this helps, Best regards.
