how can i read an objets coordinates in graphics editor with a VB code?

You can manipulate the Postion X & Position Y attributes in the object itself or you can change position attributes "outside" the object (in a button for example). In VBS you can use the Top and Left attributes. Find attached a simple example in VBS. In this exampleeverytime you click the button, the circle moves by 20 X and 20 Y. Each trigger cycle move to the right until the limit or move it once to exact position? And imho you can use directly "Item" (suppose the script ison the rectangle) don't have to define the object. For the first situation the script could be something like this: Dim objTag Set objTag = HMIRuntime.Tags("move") If (objTag.Read = 1) And (Item.Left < 200) Then Item.Left = Item.Left + 10 End If Regards Sydney

zapotek Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	hello; first: the script is on the rectangle. i created the rectangle and it is located position X = 500. This place is not important. the rectangle can be placed at X 300 400 etc... only when the tag move changes to 1 ; the rectangle must move at the X plane 10 by 10 until its pos X becomes 600. I used "objRectangleItem.Left() = 600" to read the position of the rectangle. And this was wrong. I see. Sydney: your code worked. thanks. I am a new member and this encouraged me to write in this forum.
