How can I read plc data to Java app

I'm looking for a library licensed by Siemens, which to be announced in Java project. All I found is the S7Connector library on GitHub. But I'm not sure that this library is the best option for such a task. Has anyone encountered the same task of reading PLC data from a large number of controllers in a Java application? Can Siemens offer a solution for my request?
