How can import a old CPU Reference ?

thequark Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hi. How import or work with olds references or CPU´s, for example, a CPU 315 2DP (6ES7 315-2AF03-0AB0) in TIA V11 ? Or this olds references ar not compatibles ? In my Task Card only appears two references of S7-315 CPU´s. It´s normal ? Thanks

But you simply failed to answer the question that was actually being thought. This question in my view was.. "Ok seems my CPU is not supported by Siemens, BUT can I add it in some way tothe supported Hardware list so I can personally use it in my copy of TIA portal ? I also have aCPU315-2DP6ES7 315-2AF03-0AB0 and just purchased a student licence of V11 and see this CPU is not in supported list. I dont want it as a slave device but want it as a master, in a 2 device Profibus training system. I have over the year purchased parts for. Stunned that its not seeming to be possible to manually add, non V11 Siemens hardware supported devices, that were supported in prior Step 7 versions. I guess Siemens expects us to simply rip out all non supported product and upgrade each time they upgrade support software tools. I dont see any backward compatibility being offered. I know you at least replyed but you answer has not helped me, no likely the origional poster Regard David

As a teacher, I should think you could reverse engineer the data in a hardware support pack to analyze what they are adding much better than most all of the forum users here who are just trying to get supported hardware and software setupto meet their customer's needs.
