Successfully found the way to configure RTU using that gateway. Hercules software is a great tool which you suggested. It took time for me to understand, but at the end i made it work. Thanks again for this wonderful learning. Struggle and then success is always a good feeling.

Now I need to do the same in TSEND and TRECV in PLC and see how it goes. Will keep you updated.

Hi Duris,

How can i send define the TSEND data as Hexadecimal. In the Hercules software there is option to use Hex characters to send. Only when i define that the Power meter send back data. if i don't enable hex the power meter doesn't respond. Am i doing something wrong in the DB side in assigning the data types?

I used Struct data type and then defined the send parameters like how Milos defined in his program. Not sure whether it is right for me. 

Also another question, is it possible to check using Telnet cmd like how the Hercules software does?

 Finally Duris,

all good and fine. I could receive all data now. It means a lot for your support to make this work. This is why I love this job in Automation. Gateway is good, but we need to manually setup the whole Modbus requests which is a bit big task. In this case, like a normal easy suggestion would be a Modbus converter where we can receive through TCP/Ip Modbus directly. I will keep working with this gateway thing and see whether i can find an easy and fast solution to make it work.

Hi,

in case of array of bytes you can use hex as 16#00 f.ex. In case of chars some $ need to be used with value in my opinion. Pls check in history here on Forum or in TIA manual.
