HOW?: Configuring S7 failsafe PLC in ComProfibus

Rosegarden Posts: 63 Rating: (0)	Hello all, on our company we have an Profibusnetwork with some S5 slaves and gateway. One of the S5 slaves is migrated to an S7F (failsafe) PLC. So the configurationfile for the gateway must also be altered to the new configuration. Only it's not clear to me how to do that and I can;t find something in the manual regarding safety PLC's in ComProfibus. I also don't know what the identifiers means in ComProfibus. Not all the modules I used in the S7F PLC are listed in ComProfibus. ie. I used 10 channel output modules but those modules are not listed. Does anybody have tips regarding the configuradion of a S7 safety PLC whithin ComProfibus? I included some pictures of ComProfibus and the Simatic Manager regarding the hardware of the PLC. Regards. KSN Platinum Member Joined: 8/25/2006 Last visit: 3/14/2025 Posts: 2213 Rating: (281)	Hello. In ComProfibus you must configure for the S7-slave the number of input/output bytes which will be transmitted/received to/from the DP-master. There is no need to configure IO-modules of S7F-plc.
