How do I control 1..10V when the end module generates the control voltage?

flotul Regular Member Joined: 2/23/2017 Last visit: 1/31/2025 Posts: 47 Rating: (0)	Hello All, I need to control a LED Dimm-controller that generates itself (I discovereder this when I received the module, of course...) 1..10Volts for its control. Basically, one will connect a potentiometer on the "-" and "+" connectors of the controller and it will work. BUT I need to control it via a LOGO for which I bought a AM2-AQ module. Unfortunately, I can't make it work. Any idea how I can achieve this please? HERA 24V Dimm-Controller 1-10V sn: 20805003001

kruemi Experienced Member Joined: 3/2/2020 Last visit: 2/20/2023 Posts: 70 Rating: (10)	I'd suggest you start by attaching different resistors (starting for example with 10k, than getting lower step by step) and see what happens. dies it dim? what happens to the voltage? How many leads does the dimm-connection have?

AM2 modules works only correctly with standard 0-10 V interfaces, not with 1-10 V interfaces. The interface of the dimm module is not a standard interface, that is the problem. You can try resistors (10 kOhm and then possibly smaller) parallel to the 0-10 V output or with a 0-10 V / 0-10 V isolation amplifier.

I actually learned (thanks to Ixo) that 0-10V is not 1-10V. Seems obvious but it wasn't to me :-\ 0-10V is generated on the controller's side, i.e. the AM2 AQ module. 1-10V is generated on the driver or ballast or receiver's side itself and is controlled with a resistor (for fixed level) or a potentiometer (dimm). Finally, the project looks like this: LOGO > 0-10V > DALI Is there any chance that SIEMENS develops a DALI interface for our LOGO! ? I always try to avoid interfaces....

Then you can dim LED as you like. Hello. I am interested in what you have in mind. The reason is that the specifications for the LOGO says: Thank you. I think if transister output not support high frequency switching, that's not so good due to limited capabilities.
