How do I disable faceplate buttons in Auto mode.

Arun_Kumar Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	I use CIS_CK library. In one of my project, right from the beginning, On/Off buttons are enabled even when the equipment is in Auto mode. I now want to disable it? I have tried changing the relevant parameters in Driv and INCO blocks, but there is no use. This question might be silly. But I really can't find the answer. I do it on MotS faceplate for example (sorry no CIS_CK library). 1) Find picture for faceplate, where placed button, which we must disable in automatic mode... (usually it is - "@PG_<block_name>_standart.PDL"). And copy it for backup... 2) Open this picture and did C-action on button (button->Miscellaneous->Operator-Control). 3) Create simple script, which will read automatic status from other object (where automatic mode displayed in runtime on your faceplate) - if (strcmp(GetPropChar(lpszPictureName,<object_name_with_mode_displayed>,<property_where_displayed_mode>),"Automatic")==0) {return FALSE;} else {return TRUE;} and link it to your button (see sceenshot). And yes - trigger for this action - picture cycle. Now on all faceplates of this block button will be disabled in automatic mode. I did it for disable button of MotS faceplate from APL library for example. May be it is help you. P.s. Yes. It is really witchcraft, not engineering. Silent Bob Posts: 836 Rating: (100)	Hi, I would NOT change anything on the faceplate. The correct state of the buttons should be given by the default function of CIS_CK. Some years ago I worked with CIS_CK blocks. I can remember that there are XML files for faceplate configuration where you can decide wich items are available in secific faceplates. But in this case the solution aren't the XML files. I remember that there are a lot of parameter words on different blocks. Do the libriary has soem sample typicals where you can compare the behavior?

As suggested by you, I opened "@PG_Driv_401_standard.PDL'. It is empty. So maybe it is wrong way- change faceplates. I say it is witchcraft. It is how i did it on other faceplates without XML files for configuration. Try open other files with name @PG_Driv_401_***.PDL maybe you see this buttons. Or try do what say Silent Bob.

Wolfgang B. Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi Arun Kumar, It's Not possible to change the Faceplates - because they are OCX FIles. There exists One BLock In CIS-CK - OPMO (responsible for Operatormode AUto, Manual, Local) This Block is connected via the structure to the DRIVE BLock. Please Check also this Parameter. I know it is possible, but I dont remember all this CIS-CK parameter. Which CIS-CK Version you are useing ? Regards, Wolfgang
