I have a PLC I use to test the SW and I need to test SW for different plants (with different IP addresses).

So it is running with old SW from a old project and I want to DL SW from a new projekt.

It seems to go well - except that the IP address is not updated. See also the attached screenshot.

I have tried to delete the HMI connecttion and redraw it and download again - but still no success.

How do I get the right IP address into the controller - so I get connection to my tags ?

I have previously had a similar problem which was solved with help from here.

The target is set to 10.240.6.15 and the project is set to 10.240.6.11.

It is a direct connection (and I even have to remove my company network since the plant with IP A  is already running (with SW that will be modified). So I cannot be online with both the intranet and the controller at the same time.

I DID manage to get the IP A changed to .15 and .19 and back previously so I don't know what I am doing wrong this time.

If I can't get it to work in any other way I can try the factory reset - where is that "button" ?

which IP / Setting you have set  in the project?
Is the PLC directly connected or do you use a VPN/NAT Routing?

You can try to reset the PLC to factory Settings ands dwonbload the project?

Than you also for the input on the other items - I do appreciate your help even if it doesn't always seem like it :-)

I don't know what you mean by configuring it in the project except what I already did - if that is incorrect please give me a better way:

The controllers IP address IS set to 10.240.6.11 and the controllers has 10.240.6.15. I search for compatible devices and 10.240.6.15 is shown. Then I download the HW configuration without errors (I think) and then I download both HW and SW - and it also seems to go well BUT it has not changed the IP address.

I will see if I can find the "Configure IP directly on the Device" option - even though I don't think it is set differently in this project that the other I have loaded - and I don't really see how it can be much more directly that setting it in the controller Ethernet settings in the project and then downloading it to the controller.

the reset factory is in the Function list in "Online$Diagnostics" of the PLC.

If the PLC is with .15 in the Network why you dont configure this IP in the project so that this message should disappear?

Is the project the same or a copy from the Original project which was loaded to the PLC?
Maybe the Option "Configure IP directly on the Device " was loaded with the first HWConfig to the PLC? (This setting can be configured in the properties of the Ethernet interface of the PLC).

I am not really happy with changing the IP A to .15 since I already have a plant with .15 and I have WinCC (7.4 classic) set up to communicate with the "correct" IP addresses -  I have WinCC connections to .11, .15 and . 19 already.

I guess I could do it anyway but - how do I change it back to 10.240.6.11 after I am doing testing ?

I need it to be .11 eventually.

with configuring in the project i mean:

Set the IP Adress in the Project to 10.240.6.15 so that the IP in the project is the same like the one which is stored in the PLC, if this is possible.

I am not really sure how - but I succeeded in getting the IP address set to .11 so that is nice.

But for some reason I cannot get the HMI panel connected to the project. Please see attached screenshots.

It is red when online  and I tried deleting it and reconnecting it - but it changes nothing.

How do I make a correct and functioning connection between the PLC and the HMI panel (.IP addresses .11 and .14) ?
