how do i make output signal goes ON and stays ON with a push button

Kimp Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	hello i am using s7-1200 version 10.5 using a push button with press and release button.. how do i make my output to be ON all the times with only one press on push button" button falls back with you relase it" and OFF again when I press the button for second time? l like very much have the answer in detalis cause I am new in this world thanks a lot

Or, do you have an ON button and an OFF button? You can do it several ways, some of which are universal and work in virtually all PLC manufacturer's/ & HMIs and do not require a specific instruction like set/reset/toggle/jump. In S7, if you are using both ON & OFF buttons, the SET and RESET coil instrunctionswould do a great job for you in combination with the P_trigger pulse detector. -\|\|----\|p\|------(s)--- * whenONbutton is pressed, it sets coil -\|\|----\|p\|------(r)--- * when OFF button is pressed, it resets coil If the coil is already on, pressing the button has no effect. Similar for off, pressing off has no effect on coil.

I usually go with something like this.The only drawback is if your switch bounces it will toggle on and off a couple of times. To debounce the switch takes more logic.
