How many KTP 700 Basic HMI maximum connection with S7 1200 PLC

The picture shows where to find the answer (Hardware configuration). In the same place is the indication of how many has been used, when "connecting" HMIs to the PLC in the project.

A basic panel takes up 1 resource per panel.

A comfort panel takes up 2 resources per panel.

I have connected 6 HMI's (KTP 700 Basic), HMI - PLC response is slow.

But when I connect 4 HMI, it is normal.

As per Siemens Blog, the response will be normal for 4 HMI.

Is it "1 HMI = 1 connection resource" ?

The FAQ (ID 38051505) states that there are 3 classes of HMI:
a) x1 HMI = x1 resource .................. basic
b) x1 HMI = x2 resources ............... comfort
c) x1 HMI = x3 resources ................ ?

The FAQ states further that Siemens guarantee at the very least 4 HMI connections irrespective of which HMI combination you use.

The capacity of the PLC is 12. The theory is you can use 12 basic HMIs.

There is no mention to what is practical. I will not be able to tell you this.

Factors that will influence the effectiveness of communications:

1. Automatic traffic regulating switch or (passive) hub as network distribution. (Collision in calls / answers plays a huge role in throughput)
   
   
2. Count of network switches in the network plus which technology (ex. WiFi bridging)
   
   
3. Communication speed (low for S7-1200) and distance of devices
   
   
4. Update rate of data 100ms vs 1s vs 2s update rate.
   
   
5. Continuous data update vs only when data is in use vs (6)
   
   
6. Data update by trigger from PLC
   
   
7. Size and count of data exchange
   
   
8.  (did I miss something?)
