how many modbus slaves can CP341 connect

WXT Member Joined: 10/23/2013 Last visit: 10/24/2020 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Dear, I'm a new user of CP341. I have 200 modbus slaves in the network, I doubt that if I can use one CP341 as a modbus masterto connect the 200 modbus slaves. Thank you!

Hello WXT, the number of slaves connected to a CP341 depends on the used physical interface. TTY and RS232 support only one slave (but this can also be a concentrator/gateway with several slaves connected to it). RS485 defines the maximum 1 master, 31 slaves. Did you think about the update time when reading data from 200 serial slaves? It will take more than a minute.... Regards, Kaulquappe
