The S7-CPU and Sinamics can or use a communication with Profibus or Profinet. Both systems are bus connection with a detailed description how a Master and Slaves have to communicate using a special physical envinronment. A telegramm between Master and Slave is seperated in several PZD - in several words - where the user has to put in the information for the slave (drive) and where he gets the status informations. In a List manual for Sinamics S120 you can find a description about the available telegram and their PZD built order. If you select the right telegram in S7-CPU and in the drive then it is clear which information you have to send and which information you can receive. The standard functions SFC14/15 can be used for a telegram communication .
Have a look on the list manual.

Hello, If you mean a cyclic communication then you have for many telegrams a (user)defined datablock. This datablock and its informations -which the user is changing in his standard programm - is send via for example SFC14/15 to the drive. If you want to change a parameter which is NOT part of your cyclic transfer - because this parameter is a configuration parameter - then you are using an acyclic communication with for example SFC 52/53. Additional informations can be found here (chapter 10"communication"): http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/68042590 |
