How S5 TO S5 Signal Exchanging.

There is already communication in betwee them is established and also some data-exchange forinterlock purposeused. Pls sujjest me if any normal process or steps to be Exchange a Data...thr progrmming. bcoz i just wnt 1 signal [Furnace Tilting Angle] from PLC1 to PLC5 for IMP intlock purpose. Thank you.

I will not answer to your question because i do not have the knowledge in S5 plattaform, however i think a lot of people here will be able to give you some help if: 1. You provide a little bit more information about the kind of hardware you have? 2. Wich communication protocol is in use for the communications betwen the PLC's? 3. This new signal you wanto share, is it a Int, Real, Bool? 4. Do you know where is/wich arethe logic blocks in your PLC that takes care of the communications tasks at this moment? I hope this helps. Nonetheless, you say that you five 100U's all networked together. The only way this could be done would be via SINEC L1. What seems missing though is a SINEC L1 Master (a 100U can only be a SINEC L1 Slave). Can you please clarify what type of system architecure and network Topolgy you exactly have (draw a little sketch that shows the type/aprt numberof CPU',CP's, netwrok componentsetc.). In case it is a SINEC L1 Network, I suggest youalready start studying the two manuals below which contain all the info on how to set it up and what to look for in the program. This will then help you determine if you perhaps already have a free/spare Datword in the exisitng communication that you could then simply use to put your Furnace tilting angle in. If you study the existing communication configuration, How the Data communication is done, which data are coming from which plc, Sending/Reciving Data block number etc, your job will be much easier. Then you may find that the data you need is already there in plc5. Old system claims a little reaserch, patient and time. Wishing good luck.
