Is your question related to a S5 CPU (which one)? And how is it exchanging data with the S7-400 you mention?

If not, please provide more details of the harware (and software) you are working with, and explain what you would lik to do.

Edit: If what you intend to do is read the S7-400 system clock and compare this value to a fixed DT tag created by you, you would need to use some of the functions (from Simatic Manager and TIA Portal, depending...) in the screenshot below. We can help you better if you provide more details.
