How to add a license to the WinCC RT?

SS-Automation-Leh... Regular Member Joined: 9/21/2021 Last visit: 4/10/2025 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	I am not sure If I installed a license for WinCC Runtime Adv. correctly on my PC. I Have a touch panel PC with Win 10 installed and running Trial license Runtime on it for a month now. Just today I have purchased a 512 Powertags license (download), then installed the WinCC version that was sent to my login. But then realized I have to download the License Key separately through Automation License Manager. Chose the online software delivery option, and then transferred the license from there to my local drive. Also saved the Certificate of license PDF on same folder. What should I do in order that WinCC starts using this license? How does one add a license to the WinCC RT? And I have seen the license details only in the Automation License Manager. How do I find its directory and what kind of extension does it have? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from WinCC Licenses Not Recognized.

bg2492 Diamond Member Joined: 5/16/2014 Last visit: 9/12/2022 Posts: 7298 Rating: (2186)	Hello SS-Automation-Lehrling, if you have downloaded the license key and copied to the harddrive, you should see it in the ALM (Automation License Manager). You can check the license by right mouseclick on it. A green hook means, it is OK, a green arrow means, it is in use. The license keys are stored in a hidden folder "AX NF ZZ" as files *.ekb.
