How to Assign Faceplate Property Interface to process value

Nico R 14 Experienced Member Joined: 11/23/2007 Last visit: 4/11/2025 Posts: 133 Rating: (5)	Hello, In My faceplate "property interface" I have a tag MyTag ULINT TYPE I would like to display this value in an i/o field I have try this but not work let pv = Faceplate.Properties.MyTag; Faceplate.FindItem("N").ProcessValue = pv; I think the data needs to be converted but I don't see how. The script debugger does not report an error

Put your variable in the "Tag interface" then Tags("name").Read(). read the documentation! have a look at demo projects! watch youtube videos! this is absolutely basic unified knowledge! it was more effort to do this post than a google search about that would have been... why am i answering here at all? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/at/en/view/109777887

I also need it as the value of a text list (I put an i/o field as an example, it's simpler.) I don't want to have to enter the same data twice in my facepalte . Given that this item is a ULINT I must also be able to use it in a property that accepts this format. There must be a "conversion" command

I used the same datatype as you have mentioned for the property interface. I set a fixed value at the property interface, for example 12345699 I used a Script at loading event of the faceplate to write the value to an IO Field and also to the text property of a text field: Faceplate.Items("EA-Feld_3").ProcessValue = Faceplate.Properties.MyTag; Faceplate.Items("Text_1").Text = Faceplate.Properties.MyTag; In RT it shows the values: So it think it should work. @h_p_l: why are you so undfriendly . Its a free forum, you are not forced to write answers here... I used the property interface many times for using fixed values on the interface to not have to use a tag outside. There are usecases where you have to get creative to get it work... have a nice day Murof

Josiiii21 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	To show the value from MyTag ULINT TYPE in your faceplate's i/o field, you need to make sure the assignment is correct. Try this: let pv = Faceplate.Properties.MyTag.Value; Faceplate.FindItem("N").ProcessValue = pv.toString(); This code gets the value of MyTag and converts it to a string before assigning it to the ProcessValue of the faceplate item "N". This should display your value correctly.
