And what is the best way to do so? Thanks all you for your help.

That means ONLY a ppl can work on project when compiling or doing simbolic modification and so on... Once, you cannot go in OnLine test from a station and work offline with other one.... If you could be able to edit project from more staton in same time, could happens you lost project in unrecoverable way. You can edit different project into same Multiproject, but NOT same project Regards

Rosalie Posts: 14 Rating: (3)	CBo, Sorry I cannot let this pass... What you have described is true for older versions of PCS7 but from V7.0 SP1 onwards, the multiproject engineering is much improved. We have used this successfully in our project engineering. Two people can work on the same project at the same time. Appropriate messages are displayed when ever there is a user conflict for example two people trying to change the same CFC at the same time. Having said that, if you are planning serious multiproject engineering, I would recommend that your "main" ES have Windows Server 2003, since Windows XP doesn't handle networking well. Rosalie

I just found some documenttiondescribes how is possible work on network...with restriction. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24450116 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/27002802 I didn't tryed with PCS7 v7.0 SP1 or higher yet, could you where is possible find documentation that explain that? But, pay attention to the "UNC path" if you want to access your multiproject in the ES server. About UNC Path: (/tf/WW/en/Posts/21339) RonaldNijssen On the main ES (Server ES) You must make sure that a share exists for a folder where the project resides in or a higher folder. Then you retrieve the project in any folder under that shared folder The resulting UNC path will be stored and displayed in the project after retrieval The access rights should be sufficient for the second ES its user Now the second ES user can browse to the share and open the project Ronald Nijssen
