How to change HMI Partner (PLC)

Hi

I’m a beginner.

I have an HMI (KT 600) connected to a PLC (1211c). this version of CPU 1211c V3.0 doesn’t work when I tried to simulate the cpu via PLC SIM so I created a new one (the same 1211c but V4.1) and the simulation now is working.

But I need to connect the HMI with this new plc and I don’t how to do it so please any suggestions.

what do you mean exactly?
How to create a HMI Connection in the project between the PLC and the HMI?

Or create Connection between the projected HMI and the Simulated PLC on the PC?

the HMI does already exist

the PLC (1214C V 3.0) exists as well but i can't run simulation because i use TIA portal V13 and this version of 1214C is not working under TIA V13

So i added a new PLC (1214C V 4.1) that is working fine under tia v13

My problem is:

When i connect my HMI (simulated one) to this 1214C V 4.1 and then i compile, it gives me errors and says that the HMI and the CPU are not connected to same subnet but in fact they are

So how can i connect this new PLC to this HMI that does already exists ??

Hi,

the problem is the HMI Connection.
In you case the HMI Connection is always configured to PLC and not to the new PLC_1.

Try to  edit the Field "PArtneire" and here select the new PLC_1 then the message should be solved.

The same situation (plc1 is main one with soft V3.0, and plc2 is second one for simulation with soft V4.1)

I've changed a field:
"General(tab)/Profinet interface/Advanced options/Port [X1 P1]/Port interconnection/Partner port"
to: PLC_2\PROFINET interface_1 [X1]\Port_1 [X1 P1]

Nothing changed - the same error.

Where is this field partner of what You were talking about?

There's not much to change in connection properties (everything is gray).

You can see that I've created connection between hmi & plc_2, also manualy changed this in partner port (local port can't be changed - don't know why).

then you must delete the old HMI Connection create a new one.

I did it in network view, also in hmi connections - nothing make a thing.

.... But finally!!!

For those who has the same problem, and don't know what to do:
- it's in: "Devices & Networks", but! - You have to click on "Connections" at the top of this window and choose "HMI connection".
Than make connection between PLC & HMI with a mouse.

It didn't worked for me before cause I was always making connection: "network connection" not this "connection -> hmi connection", so it was connected but not in right way.

ps. I've painted this "connection" switch on red for menkind, cause I was near to throw netbook out of window.
