How to Change Siemens logo with own Logo & customized Area Button by adding 4 PB

Karls1 Posts: 139 Rating: (5)	Hello Experts, I would like to change Siemens PCS7 logo with our own company logo and Could you please tell me the procedures or can show me any Step by Step procedure manual? and i have another question is, how do i customized @areabutton.pdl because we need to add 4 push buttons on this? Many thanks in advance. Currently, we have added 4 PB in @ areabuttonand after compile, all gone.

TerminalBuzz Silver Member Joined: 11/4/2011 Last visit: 1/19/2025 Posts: 253 Rating: (53)	1. Open @Logo.pdl, erase "SIEMENS PCS 7" text and place a Graphic Object from Smart Objects palette. Assign a picture with your logo to that GO. 2. @areabutton.pdl is formed automatically after compilation. You specify the amount of buttons in WinCC OS Project Editor. On the Layout tab press the Details button and enter the amount of areas (buttons). And on the Area tab you can sort the areas (buttons). Attachment AreaButtons.jpg (736 Downloads)

Good luck ––––––– But be careful with OS Project Editor. It would try to restore changed standard pdl's. So before pressing OK look at the Basic data tab and get to know what pictures are going to be restored. Maybe @Overview1 is among them.

Hi, can you tell me if it is possible to change @Logo.pdl on only one place (server) so that after that change all clients synchronize with it or that clients "search" for logo picture on server and not locally? Because now, as far as I know, if I want to change logo, I must change(copy/paste) @Logo.pdl manually on each of 3 clients. Thanks in advance! Best regards, Antonio

And also if we want to speed up Client's picture working, we should copy the corresponding files to the Client's GraCS folder. So maybe it would be enough to delete @Logo.pdl from the Client's GraCS folder. I would also try to make the logo as logo.png (or other picture type), then leave the @Logo.pdl on every station but the logo.png would be located in the Server's GraCS folder only. Another thing to do is develop specific WinCC OS Project Editor Layout were your own @Logo.pdl would be defined. But this Layout should be copied to all the computers were you may use OS Project Editor. I'm using this solution, and I've made self-unpacking archives which would copy all necessary files to the Siemens' system folders on a new PC.
