How to Configure "Siemens PP17-II Push button panel" on Ethernet network in S7-300 PLC

What part number is your pushbutton station?

As ypu can see from the attachment, some models will be Profibus-enabled, others Profinet. You cannot set a Profibus-DP model as an Ethernet (Profinet) partner, and vice-versa.

The good news is that your CPU has both Profibus and Profinet ports, so you can connect the pushbutton station on the network it was designed to work on.

If you need more information, start by searching the forum (as I have done), using the search term of your choice (I used PP17-II in the search box at the top of this page); the result was the page I showed in attachment.  By changing the results filter in the Search Area window, you can look for Manuals (this would be what I would look for now) but also FAQs, downloads...

i believe I already gave you a suggestion, to look for manuals and other documents for your PP17-II unit from the Product Support page I showed earlier.

in any case, start with these documents, you should have some basic information; how familiar are you with Profinet I/O communications, by the way?
