I am trying to run my HMI application with RSLogix Emulate500. The question is, how to setup this connection? Unfortunately, in the "communication driver" in "connection", it does not give me the option of selecting the emulator. What is the alternative way to do that?

You can use RS Linx as an OPC Server & WinCC as OPC Client.

Hi,

Assuming that you are familier with RSLinx.

Create an SLC500 Emulator Channel in the drivers and add your emulator to it as a device. This is same as you do to communicate it with RS Logix 500. Now if you have RSLinx Classic then go to DDE/OPC tab and create a topic such as "emulator" and give the path of your device in the right window.
