How to configure WinCC with CP 5613

manassas Posts: 51 Rating: (0)	Hello, There is a running current system which need to be upgraded as on the picture attached. I upgraded the WinCC from version 4.0 to 6.2 with no problem! In the current system, CP 5412 card is being used. but in the new system I puta CP 5613. The system recognized the CP 5613. The thing is How can I configure this card for WINCC. Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi Manassas, I've used CP5412 in the past. With that ISA connection they made a good thing discontinuing it! Did you install the CP5613 and set the access point for you application, in Simatic Net, under Set PG/PC Interface? Did you set it's properties correctly? Also...did you check the Diagnostics? Since the protocol is still Profibus, you shouldn't have to move your tags. Just make sure your system parameters are set correctly, with the right logical device name. Best regards, Danielle

manassas Posts: 51 Rating: (0)	Hello, I attached a picture of settings. I amstill working on it but no luck yet. I have not make a connection between WinCC and CP 5613. I made a connection between Cp343-5 and CP5613. I checked the diagnostic via my laptop and have seen both profibus address active. Thanks in advance Attachment WINCC.JPG (358 Downloads)

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Did this "Profibus FMS" driver come from v4? Was it released for v6? 'Cause in v6 I've always used Simatic S7 Protocol Suite --> Profibus, choosing within System Paremeters the "CP.." which I had configured in "Set PG/PC Interface".

manassas Posts: 51 Rating: (0)	Could you be more specific? I am still working on it. I am not succes yet. I have not able to make a connection between WinCC V6.2 via CP5613 and CP343-5 of CPU314. Thanks in advance.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Right-click WinCC Explorer -> Tag Management and add the driver "Simatic S7 Protocol Suite". That will add the drivers for WinCC v6's communication with S7.

Dec Gold Expert Joined: 5/19/2006 Last visit: 12/3/2024 Posts: 549 Rating: (107)	Hi Manassas, Here are the basic steps: 1: Create a new STEP7 Project 2: Copy the S7-300 Station from the old STEP7project; 2.1 Verifythat the Symbol table have the FMS Communication Variables (C colomn) 3: Add a PC Station into the project and HW-Config CP5613 and Application(see Tab FMS Edit VFD) intothe PC Station. Download the PC Station. 4: Create/Configure FMS Connections with NetPro from Application to CPU. Make sure you select the VFD from drop-down list of configured VFDs of Application. 5: Configure WinCC and go online with the FMS channel (OS in RT). The configured connections from the CRL will be displayed in the "List of the Connections (Communication Relationship List)" of the FMS Channel. The same with the tags. The tags that can be accessed via the selected connection will be displayed in the "List of the Remote Tags". (Configured with Symbol table C colomn). Good luck Dec
