How to confirm if the refurnished CPU is working perfectly - 6ES5900-7AD11

Hello, 

we have a printing machine using Siemens S5-110 CPU. recently we found the indicator light is off so we decided to buy a replacement on the internet. 

Luckily we found a refurnished CPU 6ES5900-7AD11 and memory card 6ES5910-0AA31.

We installed the new CPU on and we found the led indicator showed red color. and the PLC can only run with the old memory card. We believed that before the CPU can copy the software of the memory card and it can operate without the memory card.  Am i right ?  

How can we copy the memory card to a new one as a spare part ?
