Hi everybody,

I need to provide a cabinet with an ET200S system. However I am an electrician technician, not an automation one, and I have some difficulties to understand how to wire analog signals.

I have a "AI 8xI 2-/4-wire BA" card (6ES7134-6GF00-0AA1) with a A0 type base unit.

My 4-20mA signals is coming from an active sensor (in fact from the output of the enclosed material).

From what I understand, the "AI 8xI 2-/4-wire BA" is an active input and it should not be possible to connect active sensor to active PLC input... May you please help me to understand how should I wire the input signal to the AI module?

In the second part of the manual collection you will find the specific manual of the AI8xI 2-/4-wire module. 

In chapter 3 you find the wiring and block diagram. Your mesurement should be a 4-wire connection.
