How to connect CP535 to a Scalance x204-2LD

iyerm2 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi I am connecting a CP535 to a scalance X204-2LD. I am going to use IE TP Cord RJ45/15 (eg. 6XV1850-2LH20)to connect the CP card to the scalance. Is this suffiecient or do i need some additional hardware to connect the two devices?

iyerm2 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Why do u need the mini transciever? The cable that I am using (IE TP Cord RJ45/15 (eg. 6XV1850-2LH20)has RJ45 connector on one end and a 15 pin sub-d connector on the other. Is this not sufficient?

Hello iyerm2 probably not, I doubt that the CP535 supports ITP (its an ancient Ethernet CP and I don't even have its manual). An AUI to UTP transceiver is the save bet here (and probably even cheaper than the Siemens cable)and if you want to know for sure I suggest you contact Siemens Service & Support or get your local Siemens rep to find out more. Note that the IE TP Cord RJ45/15cord is however all you would needfor aCP1430 TF which does support AUI and ITP (see also THIS thread). I hope this helps
