Greeatings, Can someone help me . I have old invertter siemens and it is damage , i buy ne one but it is yaskawa. My plc communicate with old inverter with profibus communication , can someone explane me how can i programming my yaskawa ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello toeros; Basically, you seem to hve a grasp of the work to be done. Steps 1 to 3 are OK. In step #4, you want to select a PPOx value; that is, you chose a template for the Profibus telegram that will be exchanged with the drive. In your present Siemens drive you have selected PPO4, which includes 0 words for PKW (parameter values) and 6 words for PZD (process data. You have the same possibility with the Yaskawa A1000 drive: YASKAWA AC Drive Option PROFIBUS-DP Technical Manual If you select PPO4, you will reserve the same size of data in your Profibus configuration, you could select the same addresses as you are using in your present drive (if you choose to). The first 2 words of PZD (PZD1 and PZD2) are, as usual in this Profidrive concept, the Control word (PZD1) and the Speed setpoint (PZD2). However, if you read the following paragraphs in the manual you will see that the Yaskawa drive requires different programming than the Siemens drive. Ads an example, in the Siemens drive, the Speed setpoint is set asa value of 4000 (hex) for the maximum 100% parameterized speed, a value of 2000 (hex) as 50% of the maximum speed parameter... in the case of the Yaskawa, the speed setpoint is described as "Output Frequency or Motor speed (with PG) (±10000/ 100%)". You must adjust the value to the Yaskawa based on this definition. In the same way, you have to examine the contents (bits) of the Contorl Word, and determine what value (in HEX) must be sent to the drive to start it, stop it, to determine the control source over Profibus (this does not exist in the Siemens drive), to Jog it... If you want to use PZD3 to PZD6 it seems you have tto use a structure called PNU (by Yaskawa), explained in the manual above.. I am not familiar with it, so you may have to study it further.
