Profibus specifications are only available when you pay-to-play. The exact statement on the Profi web site https://www.profibus.com/download/profibus-standard-dp-specification/ is: The PROFIBUS communication is specified in IEC 61158 Type 3 and IEC 61784. IEC 61158 Type 3 includes the entire range of PROFIBUS, consisting of the versions DP-V0, DP-V1 and DP-V2. IEC 61784 specifies the properties of the Communication Profile Family CPF 3 which is PROFIBUS. The Documents can be purchased from the IEC Website by using the following link: http://webstore.iec.ch/ If you want to develop your own industrial communications firmware that runs on an RS-485 bus, then work with Modbus RTU, which is an open protocol where the Modbus RTU specification documents are downloadable from http://www.modbus.org/specs.php |

Hello mdzkhan; Concurrently with danw's suggestion, I suggest you look at he following discussion on raspberry.pi.org proposing ways to create a Profibus slave with a Raspberry PI, rather easily, and a Profibus master (much more difficult). https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=213679 I noticed you posted your question on that forum, I hope you get more answers. Hope this helps, |
