How to connect the computer to the T400 technology card?

I think, I got confused between the two Posts : How to upload T400 How to connect the computer to the T400 technology card? My reply was in context of the Original post ( Before the thread was Split ) Post Time : 4/25/2016 9:13 AM Thread Split : 4/25/2016 9:48:23 AM New subject after splitting KSN This T400 has no any program with parameters and I think there is a small chance that somebody wrote a program using CFC for his T400 that contains some parameters visible with DriveMonitor. Why would anyone use a T400 without any program ? It must be containing some program even if developed in CFC. Regardless of whether it is using a standard program, or self developed CFC, it should generally be possible to learn the Parameters ( If any ) KSN ErSS We have a use to Generator excitation system THYRIPOL . Navnag Also assuming that your T400 card has Axial Winder software installed ( Quite likely ), Why need to suggest wrong (not suitable) things? The Program is -30mvar under excitation limiter Do I have a chance to improve -50mvar if I make changes to the following parameters L131 - Begrenzungen.5-3_1.X L132 - Begrenzungen.5-5_1.A2 L133 - Begrenzungen.5-5_1.B2 L134 - Begrenzungen.5-5_1.A3 Do you need to change other parameters ? jetmsia95 Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	KSN Hello. Uploading program from your T400 is not possible. You need to have source-program on your PC to be able to download and/or make some changes. Yes, the cable used is 3-pin, as mentioned by Navnag. For connection it is used DUST1 protocol in Set PG/PC Interface (when you have D7-SYS installed). Hi, I am using an adapter to connect the RS232 to the usb port. Is it still DUST1 protocol in Set PG/PC Interface even with the adapter (COM4) ? Thank you Regards Teoh

Change your usb-rs232 adapter to COM1 or COM2, use DUST1 (COM1 or COM2) in Setting the PG/PC Interface, use the cable mentioned here, open CFC-chart and go online.

HI, Windows XP Professional in VMware Step7 2010 Professional : V5.5 CFC : V7.1 SP2 Upd1 D7-SYS : V7. SP1 I did try to reinstall Step7 according to the help message in SIMATIC, but i never try reinstalling SIMADYN. Regards Teoh

If you mean reinstalling of D7-SYS, then pay attention that SW should be installed in this order: Step7, then CFC, then D7-SYS. Uninstallation should be made in reverse order: D7-SYS, then CFC, then Step7.

jetmsia95 Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hi, i already unistall Step7, CFC and SIMADYN in the correct order and reinstall in the stated order, but still receving the error message. I checked my registor editor of the pc and the L4_Protocol can be found, which means the L4_Protocol is damaged. How do i solve this problem ? Regards Teoh Attachment Unbenannt.PNG (346 Downloads)
