How to control G120C by PLC with both Telegram and Digital input

I have a Sinamic G120C and a PLC s7-1200.

I made a project for control G120C by S7-1200 through Telegram 1. It worked great.

And I also make a project for control G120C by S7-1200 through digital inputs. It also work great.

So, I want to combine 2 that project for become a project perfect. But i have a problem with Parameter of G120C. I can't set that parameters  for both telegram 1 and digital input.

For example: When i set p840[0] for Telegram 1, then can't set for digital input. So which parameter for digital input.

Please help me, insolution my problem

Hi,

you could use different command data sets.

Switch over the data set with p810 (e.g. by selecting a digitial input to define that you now want to control via Fieldbus or digital inputs). When you have different command data sets parameter p840 (OFF1) gets different indexes (p840[0] and p840[1]). Then you can select p840[0] = r2090.0 for fieldbus and p840[1] = r722.x for digital input.

You can accomplish this by Command Data Set (CDS). You can configure upto 4 CDS. There are parameters relevant to CDS has 4 indexes for different CDS. For example, P840[0] can be configured for telegram and P840[1] can be configured for DI. and P810, P811 is CDS selection parameter where you can connect DI with Auto/Manual switch for example. If CDS0 is selected start will be from telegram and CDS1 is selected then Start is from DI.

when I added a G120C and went through the commissioning wizward (selected PN communication as I/O config) I had already 2 command data sets available. You can change the data set in the function view. See my attached screenshot. So you go for example to the shutdown functions and switch at the top between the 2 data sets. On the first (CDS 0) the fieldbus connection is used and for CDS1 you can change to your digital inputs.

But when i select CDS 1 and change parameters of CDS 1 then parameters of CDS 0 also been changed.

I have download to G120C with that settings. But it only work with telegram 1 and it don't work with digital input.

what should i do now ?

Just finished a project with G120C about 50 number connected on Profinet MRP with S71500 PLC.

Was searching on for CDS selection from PLC mode without hardware selector for Local/Remote.

Just adding my part.

My project is  created with example of G120C Block that i have modified for HW_IO parameter in the block interface. See the attached library. TIA V16 Prof used.

You can select the Bit 15, That i have changed in the block input as Local/Remote for CDS selection.

All you have to do is following parameters additionally, 

P20081 - 1  (Select runtime Group)

r20078 -r2090.15 (CDS selection Bit from PLC send word bit15),

P810 - Change to r20079  (QNOT bit, as the PLC Profinet failure will change over the CDS to  Local terminal Mode)

Now with Bit 15 in the block- Remote=1, You can control the VFD on local remote.

Please note: Default CDS 0 - is the field bus Setpoint. and the you need to Invert the bit coming from PLC.
