how to convert the pulses to Hz

So you will need to use a HSC (high speed counters). In S7-1200 HSC doesn't calculate the time interval (period) between pulses; else, he could: 1 - Count Pulses 2 - Measure, indirectly, frequency. In the case 1, you need to read the count value at time intervals (for example in a OB200 configured to do it). Save in some memory the count value and subtract the actual value from the last cycle count value. The difference is equal to the number of pulses that comes in this time interval. Frequence will be (number of pulses that comes)/call time of OB200. In the case 2, the HSC makes the work of case 1 to you. you define "time window"in the configuration of HSC. Cautinon: in both cases the measure absolut error will be +-1 (pulse)/time window interval. If you have a small window, the % erro will be too big. For example, if you have a time window of 100ms, and in this second you become 10 pulses, the frequency will be showed as 10 pulses/ 0,1s = 100Hz. However the error will 1 /0,1s = 10Hz, i.e. the value could vary from 90 to 110Hz (10%).
