Hi,

I'm replacing my custom's objects and pop-ups, from WinCC 7.3 to WinCC 15.

But i found out a big issue, in WinCC 15, is not possible add a C script in a custom object, but a VB only.

My old objects, inclueds the tag prefix generation from a C script, and now i don't know how could i replace it with a VB script.

i've  momentary solved the problem with an external invisible button, but this solution is limited, because, being the button not part of the object, it cannot create the tag prefix from the object name it's self, but i've to change it for every object.

Does anyone already faced my same problem?

I understand that i cannot use the C scirpt with a library object, but i don't understand how i have to use the property you suggest me, to replace the C Script.

I got it, I've created a new button with a VB script, and it works.

But, when i try to insert the VB script into the Object, i get different problems:
1) It does not recognize the Window name.
2)When i try to relase it, it prompt to me that soem error exsist.
3)And when i put in into run time mode, it doesn't work.

Why this happen?

How could i fix it?

Hi Duccio,

Your script looks ok.

What type of object you use for your script ?

Remember.

If you use faceplates you can use any VB script only inside of the faceplates

You cannot access from your faceplates any object from outside of the faceplate

I did it .

This is my solution:

Inside the faceplate, i've put an invisible button, in the interface, for this button i've configured an event.

Once outside, in this event i've been able to configure my C-script.
