How to decode QR-code

Hi

My custommer uses a QR-code lable to identify a product. The code must be decodede in to a string of char, I think so, for example 'ABC12345'. I have some questions: To do this job I must use:

- What kid of Scanner?

- What connection card needed on S7-300 PLC, Serial RS232?

- How can I decode ( example code)?

pls contact some supliers about Scanners that read QR code. What interface use on S7-300, it depends what actualy communication cards have free, and if yes also with your free interface possibility to select right Scanner for this interface. If you momentary don't have any free interface card or free CPU port (PN/RS-232), select Ethernet CP card with Ethernet Scanner connection, or select serial CP RS-232/485 with also available Scanner type interface. System of communication depends on your selection of interface, but in principle you listen on Port and wait for received Frame from Scanner to your defined buffer. This will be simply user communication.
