How to delete(clear) the MMC load memory in TIA PORTAL v12?

When you point to any block,use right click for the mouse and select "Delete" if you want to delete this block. kifihs 3.Whether it is possible to clear theMMC in the PLCby Step7 TIA? Hi, ItsPOSSIBLE to format a MMC via TIA portaland even assign the MMC as program card/firmware card. Procedure is as follows: 1. Put MMC in some 1500 PLC 2. Open TIA portal 3. take the PLC online via Online and diagnostics function 4. In Functions option, you have option to format the MMC. Problem is, this function is not available when you insert it in 1200 PLC and try to format the MMC in TIA. Also, if somehow your MMC is corrupted. There is easy way to UPDATE the firmware of 1200/1500 PLCs via TIA portal. Again go in online and diagnostics option of the PLC in TIA. Go to firmware update option. The MMC Cards from S7-300 didn't work in a S7-1500. So is NOT POSSIBLE to formate/Delete a MMC in TIA V1x without a Prommer device or Prommer Slot of a siemens PG. What you mean is the format of a MC in a S7-1500. Regards Christoph

IsaSalimi Posts: 16 Rating: (3)	hi. i think, it's easy to delete MMC in Simatic manager, but in TIA it,s not easy or maybe i have't enough information about that task. in Simatic manager we can see zero space in MMC after delete, but in TIA i can't delete all space on MMC. i delete all data block and FC in online mode frome device but MMC is not zero. i can solve the problem with Simatic manager!!!
