How to determine P011 (Design rate and speed) ?

I mean that we should keep conveyor running or stop ? Another question is: How to determine P011 (Design rate) ? Where can i look it ? or how to calculate it ? And how to determine P014 (Design speed) ? Thanks alot ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Balancing Belt sclaes with BW500 .

The calibration has to be done during the conveyor is running, because the BW500 would like „to see“ the dynamic (e.g. the vibration) of your conveyor belt to the load cells during the calibration. P011 is the rate (e.g. „t/h“) for what your belt scale was designed. That means: When your conveyor belt is 100% loaded with material and the the speed is 100%: Which rate do you reach? That’s the „Design rate“. P014: If you have a speed encoder: P014 (Design speed) = 100% speed of your conveyoer belt. If you don’t have a speed encoder: P014 (Design speed) = the constant speed of your conveyoer belt. Best regards Siwarexi

I agree with you that We keep for conveyor running when We make a zero calibation, and a span calibration. But i'm not sure what should i do when i make a Loacell balacing. How about procedure as i make a "Loadcell balancing". We keep conveyor run or stop ? Thanks

But when your belt scale is a new Siemens beltscale, no load cell balancing is necessary. Nowadays the load cells have quite the same characteristic value (e.g. 2.0 mv/V). Best regards Siwarexi

Last time, some friends recomended that i should keep belt running, because belt scale will actually get more tension than as it stopped. I dont agree with them, because blacing is only mearsure sensity of loadcells, and its value is only get a little difference. Can you explain more than about this process ?

The calibration (zero calibratio and span calibration) has to be done, when the belt is running, because of the tension and movement of the belt. I guess, your friends mean the calibration.
