Hi, This can be done with the help of SNMP OPC Server and managed switches. With SNMP OPC Server you van request all information stored in the Networkcomponents in your network. With this information you can calculate the speed on a wire determined in Send/Receive. In the following FAQ is described how this could be calculated for an OSM/ESM. You could use the way to calculate also with Scalance hardware. Determining the port load of the OSM/ESM via the MIBII objects of the SNMP OPC server |

Sun, I think that the best method is SNMP, anyway, if destination/source of the comm is a PC you can use the Windows Administrative Tool: Performance From Micro$oft site: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/815158 With this soft you can show the outcome graph, place alerts, traces and counters about the data readed from your^PC network interface Regards |
