Dear all,

i am now using module CP343-1 Lean to communicate between 2 PLC Stations (CPU 313C-2DP). I don't use SNMP of module CP343-1 Lean, but because of security requirements of our network. I need to turn off or disable SNMP protocol of this module. Does anyone have idea to do this?

I have tried, but SNMP tab is not visible in CP343 properties. I am using Simatic Manager 5.6

in HWConfig open the properties of the CP, open the Tab SNMP, uncheck the box "activate SNMP".

This requires a module firmware version newer than 3.0.  There is no such option in module firmware version 2.X.

You should also take into account that 3.X software versions require the corresponding hardware product version: 7 (zb for 6GK7 343-1CX10-0XE0). Whereas versions 2.X can be installed on hardware product version 5. Thus, it is not always possible to update communication modules to the latest software version (3.X) due to limitations on the hardware version.

In my case, it turned out to be updated only to firmware version 2.48. From a security point of view, a check mark for disabling the web server has appeared in the module settings.You cannot disable snmp in this version in this way.
