Hi, I was given a  6ES7 516-3AN02-0AB0 FW v2.8 - as I understand it, it can only be programmed with TIA v16. I must use TIA v15.1 for site. Can I downgrade the F/W to v2.6? If so, How? if not what am I to do?

It states

you can commission the CPU with firmware version V2.8.1 with the configured firmware version V2.6.1.

• When downloading the project data into the CPU a warning indicates the differences between the CPU (with firmware V2.6.1) configured in the device configuration and the CPU actually in the rack (with firmware V2.8.1). Ignore this warning.

When trying to download configuration I get this:

As per the FAQ, I should get a "Ignore this warning" option which I do not.

I was given this CPU and unfortunately, I must use TIA v15.1 for this site. Can I downgrade the f/w to v2.6?

Please advise my next steps.

V17 (FW V2.9) / V16 (FW V2.8) or higher; with older TIA Portal versions configurable as 6ES7516-3AN01-0AB0

According to the previous conversation, we spoke about:

6ES7516-3AN02-0AB0

CPU 1516-3 PN/DP

But I saw in HW Configuration:

6ES7516-3FN01-0AB0

CPU 1516F-3 PN/DP

Can you explain this point?
