How To Draw a dynamic switch in WinCC

Sally Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Dear All; I wanna draw a clodes switch and when clicking it i wanna it to be an opened one ; i wanna simulate a change over board and need to create dynamic picture ; I have drawn two switches!! one is opened and the other is closed , and in the action of every one i set the other swith to appear insted of the other one this solution gave me the wanted but i wanna it to seem as one switch "open and close" !! i mean i wanna it be dynamic switch , but when i place the two switches over each other ; no action works !! if any one can help me i'll be thankful . dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 12/12/2024 Posts: 12303 Rating: (2692)	Hello Sally; In Smart Objects, you will find Status Display objects.They should allow you to show either one of your Switch status drawings, based on a tag value (tht you create in the PLC, with its own logic) Here is how they are descibed in the WinCCbasis_V6_e.pdf manual: Status Display The status display offers the option to display almost any number of different states of an object. The states are implemented via tags whose value corresponds to the respective state. The states are displayed via the assigned pictures. The size and properties which a status display accepts in Runtime are defined in the Graphics Designer Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi Sally, Using two graphic objects would get you what you wanted, as long as you make their visibility property dynamic. However, that would get you 2 objects. As Daniel said, the Status Display objects allow you to change the bitmap to be displayed, according to an analog tag. You could use only one object and, as long as your bitmaps have the same size and proportion, for the user it would seem like it's only 1 switch. Best regards, Danielle

Sally Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	thanx for all ; but i didn't get what to do ; or more accurately i didn't know how to do it as u explaned , i have attached my picture and if any one can help me to do it i'll be verrrrrrrrrrry grateful . i want the red switch to be visible only and when i click it ; i want the green one to appear and the red one to disappear ! if someone can do it for me it will be verrrrry kind of him and will help me verrrrry much .. I added additional switches where I replaced the symbol with a polygon, just to get rid of the outline that displays when you click the symbol you used.
